I'm really glad they have this elevator here for those...three steps! I just wanted to use this picture to point out a bad use of space. They must be making a conscious effort to not have a diagonal line in the space. This elevator takes up more room than a simple ramp would.
Why don't people do this anymore?
This is a new addition that was placed inside this courtyard in 2000. It reminds me of the Louvre pyramid. I really like the contrast of new technologies on old buildings.
I like this detail on the column here. The scrolls on this capitol are tapered back towards the center. I just thought it was interesting.
