I thought it'd be nice to compare a few awnings. It's a simple part of a building's design but can tell a lot. This one is really simple and fully enclosed.
this ones chooses to be a little more structural, but I'm not a big fan of the glass. Horizontal surfaces get really dirty quite easily, and glass is one of a few things where that's even an issue. I don't really like this one.
This ones does a little better, but still using glass. I like how the structure tapers towards the end to help show that less work is being done.
This one does a great job, but I still wish it weren't glass, though it is clean right now. The structure is about as minimal as it can be. Maybe someone should try to introduce a little color by painting the top of the glass? I would like that.
